ओपन सोर्स सॉफ्टवेयर (Open Source Software) 

ओपन सोर्स सॉफ्टवेयर ऐसें सॉफ्टवेयर को कहा जाता है , जिनका सोर्स कोड सभी सेर के लिए उपलब्ध होता है। इसलिए इन्हें फ्री सोर्स डॉफ्टवारे भी कहते हैं। ऐसे सॉफ्टवेयरों के सोर्स कोड को मॉडिफाई (Modify) कर कोई भी यूजर इनको डवलेप करने में सहायता कर सकता है। इन सॉफ्टवेयरों के डेवलपर या निर्मणकर्ता एक लाइसेंस के साथ इन्हे सार्वजानिक रूप से प्रयोग करने व् मॉडिफाई करने का अधिकार यूजर को प्रदान करते हैं। सोर्स कोड किसी सॉफ्टवेयर का वो भाग होता है , जो यूजर नहीं दिखाई देता। इस कोड को कम्प्यूटर प्रोग्रामर सॉफ्टवेयर में कुछ परिवर्तन के लिए प्रयोग कर सकते हैं।

उदाहण - लिनक्स , यूनिक्स , MySQL , आदि। 

ओपन सोर्स सॉफ्टवेयर की प्रमुख विशेषताएँ निम्न है.

👉 ये स्वतंत्र रूप से रन और प्रयोग होने वाले सॉफ्टवेयर है। 

👉 ये प्रोग्राम में मॉडिफाई करते है। 

👉 ये इंटरनेट से डाउनलोड किये जा सकते है। 

OSS के वितरण के लिए मापदण्ड (Criteria for the Distribution of OSS)

 1. (बीना किसी मूल्य के पुनः वितरण) किसी भी संगठन या साइट के द्वारा सॉफ्टवेयर को बेचने या वितरित करने के लिए OSS की अनुमति आवश्यक नहीं है। 

2. (सोर्स कोड) सॉफ्टवेयर में सोर्स कोड शामिल होना चाहिए तथा सोर्स कोड के साथ - साथ वितरण (Distribution) की अनुमति भी होनी चाहिए। 

3. (व्युतपन्न कार्य) OSS का लाइसेंस कार्य की अनुमति देता है और मूल्य सॉफ्टवेयर के लाइसेंस के सामने शर्तों के साथ वितरित करने की अनुमति भी देता है।

Open Source Software

Open source software is called software whose source code is available to all servers. That's why they are also called free source software. By modifying the source code of such software, any user can help in developing them. The developer or manufacturer of these software grants the user the right to use and modify them publicly with a license. Source code is that part of a software which is not visible to the user. This code can be used by computer programmers to make some changes in the software.

Example - Linux, Unix, MySQL, etc.

Following are the main features of open source software.

👉This is a freely run and use software.

👉They modify the program.

👉These can be downloaded from the Internet.

Criteria for the Distribution of OSS

 1. Permission of OSS is not required for any organization or site to sell or distribute the Software (without re-distribution at any cost).

2. (Source Code) Software must include source code and allow for distribution along with the source code.

3. (Derived Work) The license of OSS permits the work and value to be distributed with the terms in front of the license of the software.
