हार्डवेयर (Hardware)
कम्प्यूटर के वे सभी भाग जिन्हे हम सकते है और स्पर्श कर सकते है अर्थात यांत्रिक , विधुत तथा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक भाग कम्प्यूटर हार्डवेयर के नाम से जाने जाते है। कम्प्यूटर हार्डवेयर को ही कम्प्यूटर के नाम से जाना जाता है। मॉनिटर , कीबोर्ड , माउस , प्रिंटर , मैमोरी , मोडरबॉर्ड , ग्राफ़िक कार्ड , साउंड कार्ड आदि है।
कुछ हार्डवेयर डिवाइस निम्न प्रकार के है।
1. इनपुट यूनिट (Input unit/ devices)
2. आउटपुट यूनिट (Output unit/ devices)
3. कम्प्यूटर मैमोरी (Computer memory)
4. सेंट्रल प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट (Central processing unit)
1. इनपुट यूनिट ( Input unit devices)
ये वे हार्डवेयर होते हैं , जो डाटा को कंप्यूटर में भेजते हैं। बिना इनपुट यूनिट के कम्प्यूटर टीवी की तरह दिखने वाली एक ऐसी डिस्प्ले यूनिट हो जाता है , जिससे उपयोगकर्ता कोई कार्य नहीं कर सकता ; जैसे - कीबोर्ड , माउस आदि।
a. कीबोर्ड (Key board) - यह सर्वधनीक प्रयोग में ले जाने वाली इनपुट डिवाइस है। इससे कम्प्यूटर में डाटा या जानकारियां इनपुट कराई जाती है। यह typewritter के सामान ही होता है। इसमें कुंजिओ को दबाकर कोई भी टेक्स्ट ; जैसे - शब्द , संख्याओं और अनेक तरह के चिन्ह टाइप किये जा सकते है।
की - बोर्ड में कुंजिओ के प्रकार (Type of keys in keyboard)
(a) Alphanumeric keys - इसके अंतर्गत अक्सर कुंजिया (A,B,......Z) and (0,1,2,3,4.....9) आती है
(b) Punctuation keys - कामा , डॉट , सेमीकोलन , ब्रैकेट इत्यादि विशेष कुंजिआ कहलाती है।
(c) Special keys - कण्ट्रोल , एरो , कैप्सलॉक , डिलीट , ऑल्ट , शिफ्ट , कुंजिआ इत्यादि विशेष किनजिआ कहलाती है।
(d) Function keys - F1 से F12 तक की कुंजिआ फंक्शन कुंजी कहलाती है। इनका प्रयोग कम्प्यूटर में परिभषित विशिस्ट कार्यो के लिए कहा जाता है।
Pointing devices
इसका प्रयोग मॉनिटर की स्क्रीन पर कर्सर या पॉइंटर को एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान पर ले जाने के लिए। कुछ मुख्या रूप से प्रयोग में आने वाले पॉइंटिंग डिवाइस जैसे - माउस , ट्रैकबॉल , जॉयस्टिक , लाइट पेन , और तोच स्क्रीन आदि।
a. माउस (Mouse) -
यह एक प्रकार की पॉइंटिंग इनपुट डिवाइस है। इसका प्रयोग कर्सर ( टेक्स्ट में आपकी पोजीशन दर्शाने वाला ब्लिंकित पॉइंट ) या पॉइंटर जगह से दूसरे जगह पर ले जाने के लिए करते है। इसके अतिरिक्त माउस का प्रयोग कम्प्यूटर ग्राफिक की सहायता से कम्प्यूटर को निर्देश देने के लिए करते है। इसमें सामान्यतः दो बटन होते हैं। एक बटन को बया बटन और एक बटन को दाया बटन कहते है।
माउस सामान्यतः तीन प्रकार के होते है
1. वायरलेस माउस (Optical mouse)
2. मेकेनिकल माउस (Mechanical mouse)
3. ऑप्टिकल माउस (Optical mouse)

1. Input unit devices
These are the hardware that sends data to the computer. Without an input unit, the computer becomes a display unit that looks like a TV, from which the user cannot do any work; For example - keyboard, mouse etc.
a. Keyboard - This is the most widely used input device. With this data or information is input into the computer. It is similar to typewriter. In this any text by pressing the keys; For example, words, numbers and many types of symbols can be typed.
Type of keys in keyboard
(a) Alphanumeric keys - This often includes the keys (A,B,......Z) and (0,1,2,3,4.....9)
(b) Punctuation keys - Comma, dot, semicolon, bracket etc. are called special keys.
(c) Special keys - Control, Arrow, Capslock, Delete, Alt, Shift, Key etc. are called special keys.
(d) Function keys - The keys from F1 to F12 are called function keys. They are said to be used for specific tasks defined in the computer.
Pointing devices
It is used to move the cursor or pointer from one place to another on the screen of the monitor. Some commonly used pointing devices such as mouse, trackball, joystick, light pen, and touch screen etc.
a. Mouse -
It is a type of pointing input device. It is used to move the cursor (blinked point indicating your position in the text) or pointer from place to place. Apart from this, the mouse is used to give instructions to the computer with the help of computer graphics. It usually has two buttons. One button is called the left button and one button is called the right button.
There are generally three types of mouse
1. Wireless Mouse
2. Mechanical mouse
3. Optical mouse
