1. बारकोड रीडर ( Barcode reader)-
यह एक इनपुट डिवाइस होता है , जिसका प्रयोग किसी उत्पाद पर छपे हुए बरकड़े ( यूनिवर्सल प्रोडक्ट कोड ) को पड़ने के लिए किया जाता है। बरकड़े रीडर से प्रकाश किरड निकलती है ; फिर उस किरड़ को बारकोड इमेज पे रखते है। एक बार ये कोड पहचानने के बाद इसे संख्यायिक कोड में परिवर्तित करता है। बरकड़े रीडर का अधिकतर प्रयोग सुपर मार्किट में किया जाता है , जँहा पर बारकोड रीडर की मदद से किसी भी उत्पाद का मूल्य आसानी से पता किया जाता है

2. स्मार्ट कार्ड रीडर ( Smart card reader )-
यह एक इनपुट डिवाइस है , जिसका प्रयोग किसी स्मार्ट कार्ड के माइक्रोप्रोसेसर को एक्सेस करने के लिए किया जाता है। स्मार्ट कार्ड दो प्रकार के होते है।
a. मेमोरी वार्ड
b. माइक्रोप्रोसेसर कार्ड
मेमोरी कार्ड में नॉन - वोलेटाइल मेमोरी स्टोरेज कॉम्पोनेन्ट होता है , जो डाटा को स्टोर करता है। मइक्रोप्रोसेसर कार्ड में वोलेटाइल मेमोरी और माइक्रोप्रोसेसर कंपोनेंट्स दोनों होते है। कार्ड सामान्यतः प्लास्टिक से बना होता है। स्मार्ट कार्ड का प्रयोग बड़ी कंपनी और संगठों में सुरछा के उद्देस्य से किया जाता है
3. बायोमेट्रिक सेंसर ( Biometric sensor )-
यह एक प्रकार की इनपुट डिवाइस है , जिसका प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति की अंगुलियों के निशान को पहचानने के लिए किया जाता है। मुख्यता बायोमेट्रिक सेंसर का प्रयोग सुरक्षा के उद्देश्य से किय जाता है। इसका प्रयोग किसी संगठन में कर्मचारियों या संसथान में विद्यार्थियों की उपस्थिति दर्ज करने के लिए किया जाता है।
4. स्कैनर ( Scanner )-
इसका प्रयोग पेपर पर लिखे हुए डाटा या छपे हुए चित्र को डिजिटल रूप में परिवर्तित करने केलिए किया जाता है। यह एक ऑप्टिकल इनपुट डिवाइस , जो इमेज को इलेक्ट्रॉनिक रूप मर बदलने के लिए प्रकाश को इनपुट की तरह प्रयोग करता है और फिर इमेज को डिजिटल रूप में बदलने के बाद कम्प्यूटर में भेजता है।
स्कैनर निम्न प्रकार के होते है।
a. हेंडलेड स्कैनर
b. फ्लैटबेड स्कैनर
c. ड्रम स्कैनर
5. माइक्रोफोन ( Microphone mic )-
यह एक प्रकार की इनपुट डिवाइस है , जिसका प्रयोग कम्प्यूटर को साउंड के रूप में इनपुट देने के लिए किया जाता है। माइक्रोफोन ध्वनि को प्राप्त करता है तथा उसे कम्प्यूटर के फॉर्मेट में परिवर्तित करता है जिसे डिजिटल ऑडियो भी कहते है। माइक्रो फ़ोन में आवाज को डिजिटल रूप में परिवर्तित करने के लिए एक सहायक हार्डवेयर की आव्यशकता होती है।
6. वेबकैम या वेबकैमेरा ( Webcam or web camera)-
यह एक डिजिटल कैमरा है , जिसे कंप्यूटर के साथ जोड़ा जाता है। इसका प्रयोग वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग और ऑनलाइन चैटिंग आदि कार्यो में किया जाता है। यदि दो लोगो के कम्प्यूटर में वेब कैमरा लगा है और कम्प्यूटर इंटरनेट से जुड़ा है , तो दोनों आसानी से एक - दूसरे को देखकर बातचीत कर सकते है।

1. Barcode reader-
It is an input device, which is used to get the barcode (Universal Product Code) printed on a product. The light beam comes out of the barcode reader; Then place that character on the barcode image. Once this code is recognized, it converts it into a numeric code. Barkade reader is mostly used in the supermarket, where with the help of barcode reader, the price of any product is easily known.
2. Smart card reader -
It is an input device, which is used to access the microprocessor of a smart card. There are two types of smart cards.
a. memory ward
b. microprocessor card
A memory card has a non-volatile memory storage component, which stores data. Microprocessor cards contain both volatile memory and microprocessor components. The card is usually made of plastic. Smart cards are used for security purposes in large companies and organizations.
3. Biometric sensor-
It is a type of input device, which is used to recognize the fingerprints of a person. Biometric sensors are mainly used for security purposes. It is used to record the attendance of employees in an organization or students in the institution.
4. Scanner-
It is used to convert data written on paper or printed image into digital form. It is an optical input device, which uses light as an input to convert an image into an electronic form and then sends the image to a computer after converting it into digital form.
There are following types of scanners.
a. handheld scanner
b. flatbed scanner
c. drum scanner
5. Microphone mic-
It is a type of input device, which is used to give input to the computer in the form of sound. Microphone receives sound and converts it into computer format which is also known as digital audio. Converting voice into digital form in a microphone requires an auxiliary hardware.
6. Webcam or web camera-
It is a digital camera, which is paired with a computer. It is used for video conferencing and online chatting etc. If the computer of two people has a webcam and the computer is connected to the Internet, then both of them can easily talk by looking at each other.
